4 Nov - Jo Berry and Pat Magee

Free Event

Sunday November 4th 2pm
The Royal Armouries

Jo Berry`s father was killed in the Brighton bombing of 1984. Pat Magee was the IRA member convicted of planting the bomb and released as part of the Good Friday Agreement.

Seven years ago, Jo decided to meet Pat `in order to hear his story and see him as a human being rather than as a faceless enemy`. Their painful and rewarding journey has recently been the subject of a powerful play, `The Bomb`.

Jo and Pat now work together for peace and reconciliation all over the world in schools, prisons, universities, and conferences. They will be sharing both their  challenges and their discoveries, inviting questions and responses from the audience.

 Free event.

JO BERRY AND PAT MAGEE are appearing as part of WORDS AT WAR, a festival of events on the theme of the relationship between words and conflict.
